National Tsing Hua University Notifications Regarding the Provision of Alcoholic Beverages at Student Club Activities

Article 1
These Notifications are enacted in accordance with Article 20 of the National Tsing Hua University Regulations for the Supervision of Student Club Activities, in order to set standards for the provision of alcoholic beverages at student club activities and avoid excessive alcohol consumption.

Article 2
The following rules shall be observed when providing alcoholic beverages for student club activities:
(1)    An application for an activity shall be submitted to the Division of Student Activities (DSA) with a proposal for the activity one month in advance. The activity may only be held after the proposal is presented to and approval by the Vice President for Student Affairs.
(2)    Proposals should include information about the types and amounts of alcoholic beverages to be provided and the methods for providing them at the activity, safety measures for the activity and contingency plans for emergencies.

Article 3
The DSA, when assessing proposals, should remind students to provide beverages with alcohol content of no more than five percent, and to control the provision of alcoholic beverages by exchanging tickets for alcoholic drinks or through the use of stamps to indicate that drinks have already been obtained. 

Article 4
These Notifications, and any amendments to them, will be implemented after passage by a meeting of the Division of Student Activities and approval by the Vice President for Student Affairs.
